Qualifying for the Emilia-Romagna GP at Imola is over and it is Oscar Piastri in the Mclaren on pole from Max Verstappen in the Red Bull but George Russell will be starting in 3rd place and was on the strangely faster Medium tyres, in this data analysis video we will be discussing why the C5 Medium tyres were actually faster than the C6 Soft tyres which made their debut this weekend. Alongside this we will be discussing Aston Martin and their masterful strategy to get Fernando Alonso to start in P5 and also Lance Stroll into Q3. We will also be talking about the huge crash from Yuki Tsunoda in the Red Bull and Franco Colapinto in the Alpine. Finally we will be talking about the disaster day from Ferrari as both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton went out in Q2 as they just could not get the soft tyres to work. But they should be stronger in the grand prix on the Medium compound.

At the Emilia Romagna GP at Imola Pirelli will be bringing a step softer tyres and we will see for the first time the brand new C6 tyres being used. The Imola Circuit, officially named Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, is a 4.909 km (3.050 mi) anti-clockwise racing circuit located in Imola, Italy. It's known for its challenging layout with a mix of fast and slow corners, elevation changes, and limited runoff areas, making it a demanding track for drivers and engineers.
