Resident Evil 3 Remake's intro is both great and terrible at the same time. Why is that the case?

Getting to walk around Jill Valentine's apartment at the start gives great insight into who she is as a character. While there has been some controversy in how her character acts in the game, Resident Evil 3 Remake does justify her change in character by letting us get a glimpse into her current mindset in her apartment.

As great as this section is, the intro to Resident Evil 3 Remake screws the pooch in short order by tossing Nemesis at us with no build up at all. Capcom, why did you do that?

At least in the original Resident Evil 3, there was some build to Nemesis, and wasn't the first enemy that we encounter.

What a shame, because the intro to Resident Evil 3 remake had a lot going for it.

Getting to see where a character lives like Jill Valentine is an overlooked way of fleshing out character in games. Other games like Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mankind Divided made use of it to great effect, and something I'd love to see other games make use of.
