Gabe Newell can't count to 3! Today, I'm going to speedrun the reasons why. Valve has released a handful of games that haven't had a third installment. Half-Life, Portal, DOTA, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead - why? Today, I'll give you my 3 reasons why I think Valve can't count to 3. Regarding their ideas of content for the games - are they out? What else can they add? Virtual reality and the Index - are they focusing more of their assets on becoming a dominating force in the VR market? And Steam - This has been HUGE for them, their primary moneymaker. Maybe they're making SO much on Steam, and taking up so many resources, that it's absolutely worth it, and they don't want to try more?
