The Game Awards are over! The Last of Us 2 is the winner of Game of the Year, and DOOM Eternal took home nothing! Why? What's going on here? How did the community react, and did we go too far? Today, I'm going to look at why DOOM Eternal didn't win in the Game Awards, and what we as fans can do to stay in a positive light. The Last of Us 2 fans (as well as other games that won other categories like Hades, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, etc.) aren't who we should criticize, they're just game fans, too! The Game Awards system is built a certain way, that favors certain things. Besides - DOOM is a fanservice game, it's not something you can base a whole experience off a few hours! Should've DOOM Eternal won Game of the Year? Let's talk about that.
