Why We NEED Physical Games! ...Also Viewer Mail!
401Console manufacturers have been toying with the idea of digital download only game consoles for years now, but we need physical games, and here are several reasons why.
Most importantly, if you ignore everything else, is the state of our (American) Internet infrastructure. Our rural areas don't have the internet speeds or healthy network climate to support massive downloads. 20% of the US population live in rural areas, and half of those people don't have access to broadband Internet.
Of course there are also benefits for video game collectors such as myself, but we mustn't forget the importance of video game preservation as well!
