Why You Can’t Find Your Inner Peace

Sleeping through reality, I find sickness in the truth. Resting in hopes of finding peace, covering up the remains of regret. I find fantasy to calm my worries. However, this fantasy is much like reality. Scattered beings alter my life into a new perspective, shifting thoughts anew. Death crosses my mind.

Aspects of life seem to hold new meaning. My senses are heightened. I center my focus on the seemingly and previously recognized. Color, sound, and texture all find a higher structure. Parallel relationships seek my mind.

Love is here, but lust is calling.

The light does not reside within the darkness.

Wishing my heart could go and live back then.
Oh, how this life was bright and full of hope.
Great leaps that bounce and glow with summer's end, The fall of time no longer holds a rope.

Boredom we find lingers within us all, Days with tire call us waiting to roam.
Is it that I should find a place to call?
A tune of loss, troubled, it finds its home.

How must it be that life has lost all worth?
Lying alone I wait for your lost sound, Which left us here crying to claim rebirth How must it be I'm lost and you are found?

Follow the path of life with no return, My heart, still cold, will find a way to burn.
