In between the disaster that was Batman and Robin and the revival of Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, fans were eagerly waiting to see the caped crusader return to the big screen. Nolan would, of course, present a darker take on Batman than moviegoers were used to seeing, but there was one shelved Batman project before it that would have been even darker.
