Hello there, all you amazing people, and welcome to the next episode of An Ecologist Plays, the channel where I get to talk about nature while playing games! In today's episode, we are back in the Australian map (Emerald Coast) of theHunter: Call of the Wild. And we are hot on the heels of another exotic species: the Banteng, also called the Tengadau. This species of wild cow is exotic to Australia (where they are present in the Northern Territory), but is endangered in their natural range. This poses an interesting (and difficult) question: should we be controlling the numbers of invasive/feral species if they are endangered in their natural ranges? Well, we'll dive into that a bit today! We will also talk about how they are impacting the areas that they are invading, by talking a bit about forest regeneration strategies. Oh, and we delve into the digestive system of ruminants!
