A longplay of Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa for the arcade.

The Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa arcade game was developed by Konami in 1992, based off an American Saturday morning cartoon of the same name. The premises in both are generally the same: in the American southwest, a magical comet raises a mesa from the earth and transforms the residing wildlife into intelligent anthropomorphic versions of themselves. What develops among them is a wild west-like society where the local bovine law enforcement protects the citizens from the corrupt Sheriff Terrorbull and his minions.

The game is a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up similar to Sunset Riders, another arcade game also made by Konami. It features four playable characters from the show- Marshal Moo Montana, Dakota Dude, Cowlorado Kid, and Buffalo Bull- all of whom can be played at the same time by four players, though I do this run solo.

In this longplay, I wanted to show off all four characters, but I didn't get enough game overs to cycle through them all. Buffalo Bull played a very minor role in the television show anyway, so at least the main three are present. Maybe he showed up more in the comics. This game is being played on an emulator which cannot run the game at 100% accuracy, but the only area it's noticeable is during the intro when a sprite of the mesa doesn't display correctly. If this was played on a cabinet, I spent 75¢ on this run. Unless it was in today's arcades, in which case it would've been $6.
