Wildstar-Open Beta Gameplay
0Hooray. I can finally make some videos about Wildstar! Gone are the watermarks with the list of my family and pets that will be stolen in the night if it is found on the internet.
So here is Wildstar in all its glory. The futuristic, action-y MMORPG from NCSoft. It comes from Carbine Studios and was announced almost 3 whole years ago. In case you didn't know, Carbine features several former WoW folks. The pedigree for this game is solid. Unlike many games floating around now, this game uses its own engine as Carbine was never happy with anything currently on the shelf.
Wildstar features an action/aiming style combat similar to MOBA type games. You avoid large damage hits by getting out of differently shaped indicators on the ground. They range from thin lines, cones, circles to even star shaped. Your character is defined by faction, race, class and path. Path is basically a side set that appeals to the variety of RPG player types. There's soldiers, explorers, settlers and scientists. Each appeals to what we often play RPGs for.
