Hi folks. Today, we're taking a look at the new Marvel Avengers Alliance game called MAA Tactics. It's currently in closed beta via Facebook and is region restricted. There is a way to get into it however and that is discussed in the opening of the video.

If you're lucky and skilled enough to get into the game and are a fan of our beloved MAA, you're probably going to like this game. The easiest way to get a shot at getting in is to use Chrome and download an extension called Hola. Once you have it installed, set yourself to be Malaysia or the Philippines, close Chrome and then go to Facebook. It'll be a little slow to load but you should be able to get into the game.

The game is basically something like Xcom or C&C Tiberium Alliance set in the world of MAA. You start off with Iron Man (similar to MAA) and are forced to recruit BP. For the first few missions, you are definitely on rails as you can't even hit the settings button. Within about 15-20 mins though, you finally get some freedom to do more than just click the ONE button highlighted on the screen.

Many of the music tracks and sound effects will feel similar to MAA. You'll see many of the same items like heal packs, needle guns, etc. Unlike MAA, the heroes in this can even be modified with some new gear/abilities like a shield taking the place of Iron Man's guard. You also get to use agents like heroes and equip them with some quintessential MAA gear. When you're away from the game, you even have jets that give you silver and experience.

Added to the MAA mix is an actual base of operations. You spend silver and the ISO resources to build your base with specific structures. They each do different things like provide a stream of ISOs, a landing deck for quinjets and more. This is the part that feels a bit like Tiberium Alliance. You can see other players around on the map and I noticed, similar to Vega Conflict, you're shielded until you attack somebody. When you build a structure, there are generalist agents that guard it but they can be pulled out for missions, piloting jets, etc.

All in all, I see this game being another time sink like MAA when it's fully available. Hopefully it won't be nipping at the wallet like MAA can but time till tell. A definite recommend for anybody who loves MAA and its universe.
