Marvel Heroes-Taskmaster first look
1Hi folks and thanks for checking out a video here on G4G. For this video, we take a look at one of Marvel Heroes' newest, playable characters-Taskmaster.
Tasky has been appearing in several Marvel games recently. He's had a slot in MAA as a semi-frequent boss and adversary. He comes into play in Marvel Heroes itself as a fairly early boss to fight. Now, MH has gone and released him as a player controlled hero.
How he's setup on this game reminds me a lot of how Moon Knight was setup in MAA. In MAA, Moony basically emulates Wolverine, Cap'n and Spiderman. Here in MH, Taskmaster acts as a kind of Daredevil, Hawkeye, Captain hero. His weapons are based on a sword and shield and his movesets are a mix of ranged and melee. His right most talent tree reminds me a lot of Moon Knight's tree.
I've always felt that Tasky would be a hard hero to setup in a game like this. He is built upon memorizing other heroes' actions and then emulating them back. MAA did an awesome job in flushing this out as they have released him as a lockbox character in the game. Here in MH, I think they did a solid job but I feel there is a degree of lost potential. He does play a LITTLE bit like people you've played before. I still love my Emma and maybe second to her, Moony. Still deciding on where I'd place Tasky in my enjoyment list.
