Windows XT is a Breakout clone, where the player controls the bounces of a ball using a paddle at the bottom of the screen and has to break all the blocks in order to go to the next level. If the ball is missed by the paddle, the player loses a life. In this game the blocks are replaced by Windows program icons. There are surprises during the game in the form of question marks, hiding power-ups affecting the ball and the paddle. Some of them help the player (extra paddle, extended paddle and more balls), and some of them hinder the player (smaller paddle or lose a paddle). There are also flying windows that give bonus points if hit with the ball. The game also includes sounds from Windows 2000/ME.
