ABOUT THIS VIDEO: If you wind up in a fight on the street, odds are there may be witnesses, and those witnesses may call the police. Should the boys in blue show up, they will want details of how it all started and who did what.

Wouldn't it be great if you had witnesses who backed up the statement that you had your hands up to ward off your foe, but not in an aggressive way?

This simple act of holding your hands up with your palms turned toward your adversary is a simple way to illustrate that you don't want trouble. It is a gesture that requires no thought, which is a good thing, because thinking during a fight will make you lose.

You are supposed to focus all your attention on the attack, NOT on thinking whether or not you will have a leg to stand on in court. Therefore, let's eliminate the likelihood that we would be distracted by such thoughts by using this easy-to-remember tactic.
