6Welcome to Wing Commander Academy, my friends. This red-headed bastard stepchild of the Wing Commander series came out around the same time as Privateer, in order to, I read, placate folks who didn't like the ending to the Wing Commander II saga with Special Ops II. I originally thought it was a stopgap game between 2 and 3. Regardless, this game basically has two modes, a mission designer and a gauntlet. In this entry, we accidentally start the gauntlet, which has me facing wave after wave of enemies. I don't do too bad, but as with a lot of Wing Commander games, an accidental collision takes me out in the end.
