After the update there are some things that worth clearing up with Wings of the Apocalypse Queen.
It's unique passive, Demonize, reduces any damage taken by 50% when your HP falls below 40%.
You also get 30% lifesteal while the unique passive is active.
Demonize only lasts for 5 seconds and has a cooldown of 50 seconds.
You will know Demonize is active when you see this icon.
You don't need your HP to go above 40% to trigger Demonize again.
After activating Demonize, Leomord's HP will stay below 40%.
After 50 seconds, Demonize can still be triggered even if your HP is below 40%.
True damage can't be reduced by Wings of the Apocalypse Queen.
Tower damage, Lord damage and hero's true damage will not be affected by Demonize.
The tank talent Tenacity is a great combination for Demonize.
Both are activated after your HP drops below 40%.
We've tested this with Twilight Armor and it can reduce the base damage 900 to 450 if combined.
Another item worth mentioning is Rose Gold Meteor.
Your shield lasts longer if Demonize and Rose Gold Meteor activated at the same time.
Combine WotAQ with Haas's Claws and you get a total of 60% lifesteal when your HP drops below 40%.
Ruby and Alucard is a good candidate because of the 30% lifesteal gained.
Since its passive now has a cooldown this item became better for squishies like assasins and marksmans instead of tanks.
As for tanks, they have a huge HP pool.
When their HP is down 40% they can still hang around in the battlefield.
Demonize can be triggered by damage from minions or towers making it useless for the next 45 seconds.
If I could ask for one thing to make this item better for tanks,
it would be to have a timer icon just like Rose Gold Meteor.
This way you'd know the perfect time to dive in and absorb enemy damage for your team.
WotAQ is actually a great counter against burst damage heroes like Lesley or Gusion.
Five seconds is long enough to do a counter attack or escape while taking minimal damage from them.
