Winning the uphill battle - Halo Wars Gameplay episode 12
Today me and the crew play Halo Wars, a real time strategy spinoff game set in the Halo universe that follows the missions of the Human colony ship turned warship known as the Spirit of Fire as they protect humanity from extinction at the hands of an intergalactic religious order known as the Covenant, during the opening years of what will eventually be known as the Human-Covenant war. In this episode, having learned of the Covenant's true intentions with the world we are currently fighting inside of from the newly rescued Dr. Anders, I am tasked with taking the Spirit of Fire's FTL drive from point A to point B in an attempt to use the drive to destroy the planet and all of the Forerunner tech that the Covenant are looking to salvage to use against humanity. The problem is that where I need to go is as the top of a very steep hill and the drive is so massive that I need to strap it to an Elephant just to get it moving. Also, if for some reason the drive gets detached from said Elephant it'll just slide back down the hill to where it started. So, in order to get it where it needs to go, I have to utilize a sizeable amount of force. Luckily the Spirit of Fire is essentially a flying factory that someone has the foresight to weld a railgun to, as even that gets used to helpful effectiveness, and yes, that includes taking out a single unit of infantry that could somehow attack my base while still being out of range of its defenses. Enjoy.
