Showing how Yrden trivializes one on one fights on Death March, The Witcher 3's highest difficulty level. I'm level 9 in this clip, and the Wyvern guarding the Griffon sword pattern is level 14. I kill him three times, the last only using Yrden for damage. Zero damage is taken in all three takes. The basic Quen sign is useful for being sloppy with timing regarding placement of Magic Trap, the alternate cast of Yrden. Leveling up Magic Trap increases the range and the damage, but is not necessary. The key is the regular knockback, which allows for free damage from Yrden and the periodic opportunity to attack freely.
