28It's rare to be able to cut 80% of the time of a speedrun! One week after my 13 minute run RESQ uploaded a 4:12 run: https://youtu.be/d3rjTou7q9w
I thought that you can't teleport down to level 10 since the spell always fails if you try to do so, but if you use the teleport spell in battle you get teleported to a random location, which can be anywhere - even directly in front of the final boss.
I save time over RESQ's run by not failing any identifications (15% chance), creating a second mage character to gain the necessary spells faster and teleporting directly from level 1 instead of going to level 9 first.
Bishop identify glitch: There's a bug in this game, where if you try to identify a non-existing item, you go out of the intended memory area and can gain massive XP and gold boosts. It looks like a cheat code, but according to people who looked at the code it's a bug, which I guess makes it speedrun-legal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
