Wolfenstein 01 - Intro, Train Station
14Doing this one the same way I did Max Payne 2: started as an LP, turned into just a playthrough in the middle of the recording session as I was completely unable to think of anything to say. As a result, I'll give an intro of sorts here in the description.
So here's a game I got for christmas in 2010, judging by the dates tagged on some of the save files. Overall, I found the game to be pretty fun, despite some things I obviously would have complained about in commentary (regenerating health, hand-holding UI, forced tutorial segments, things like that that make certain parts of the game where you have to actually use your brain to get past feel out of place). It's got a genuinely interesting story, fun gameplay mechanics, and pretty nice visuals for a then-four year old engine(though when playing in HD, the textures look pretty muddy).
Only played on "normal" because I'm not good with controllers these days. I'd have gone for the PC version, but it seems to have mysteriously disappeared from the Steam store, and probably wouldn't run well on this machine anyway. As for the video and audio quality, my capture card isn't very good and my line-in is screwed up, so there's some buzz and blurry-yet-sharp plus forced motion blur by MPC's device feed. Nothing I can do about it, I'm afraid.
