Bring Em On mode, the medium setting. I was just sampling a little bit of the game before I upgrade to the Xbox One X on November 7th. The game looks pretty grainy on my 4K display, so I would rather experience the rest of the game on the new console.

For now this is captured on the Xbox One. The footage will remain at 1080 p when captured, even with the Xbox One X, but there should be better textures depending on what upgrades are provided for the game on the console.

Game seems great so far. If the game continues to hold up then I will likely go through on the semi hardest setting. The one right before the unlockable permadeath mode.

Permadeath is no doubt an interesting mechanic to increase difficulty, making it more of a survival mode, however to me its somewhat of an artificial way to increase difficulty, since the actual moment to moment gameplay is unchanged. Permanent death being the only thing changed. It would really require me to master the hardest mode without fucking up and I would rather move onto the next game after beating the hardest non-permadeath mode, as I did with DOOM 2016. I dont give a fuck about achievements or trophies as Ive always had my own list of games beaten and my own personal challenges I created for games, so I think its always great to have more difficulty modes and options. The achievement/trophy systems are very unbalanced. You get shitloads of points for doing repetitive tasks that are not difficult or just normal progression things, and some of the hardest shit has no points or very little points. A good example is beating God Hard on Vanquish. That was INSANELY hard do to the final bosses being way harder than anything else in the game, to an extreme degree (may be the hardest segment I ever beat in a game), and there is no achievement or points awarded for beating that. Its mildly amusing to me but I dont go too far out of my way to get those points.
