WORKING HELICOPTER in KSP 2!
Yes, this REALLY DOES FLY!
No tricks, no lift from anything other than from the rotor blades, no hacks, no mods, no cheats, no infinite fuel - just pure flying!
Two days ago I published my Vertical Bearing video, showcasing my attempt at the Audaylon Bearing in a vertical orientation (tricky to get right).
Yesterday I published a video of a helicopter which REALLY wanted to fly, but just didn't seem to be able to get into the air.
And now finally I built something capable of flight by means only of rotary wings.
Again, credit to the ultra-creative @Audaylon for his rotary bearings. Go check out his channel and see how he flies a glowing hot plane through the hoop suspended by the crane at KSC port at about Mach 4!
And also don't forget to visit Madishmike (@michaelwestcott57) - someone who has also been experimenting with Audaylon Bearings, and who is a wizard at building realistic looking things with KSP 2 parts! Want to see a flying plate of food? Madishmike is your man for that!
Right! Now what do I build next?
Maybe another submarine...
I'm a jack of all trades, master of some. I've been a gamer for four decades, and now I think it's time to share some of that experience and joy with others. I love space games: at the moment I play KSP 1 & 2, Juno: New Origins and Elite: Dangerous, and I've played many MANY more in the past!
Please Like and Subscribe and hit the bell and tell all your friends and place an ad in the local paper etc - so that I can pay off the mortgage I used to buy a PC capable of running Kerbal Space Program 2! If you hit enough likes and bells and things, then maybe I can even find a way to supplement our TERRIBLY broken South African electricity supply, making it possible for me to publish videos more often! (Right now I'm really limited in terms of PC time, I'm hoping a large inverter/battery etc could solve that issue. PC's become very power hungry when they game and encode videos!)
Many thanks to all those who support this channel by any means, I appreciate it all! Come on small YouTubers, lets all do our best to support one another! There is a lot of great content sitting overlooked in some smaller channels!
This video is made using a mixture of free and open-source software. Support the good guys, not the big corporations!
