Just mash Yop Tchagui (236K), or Yeol Pung Gag (234HP+HK, uses one bar of meter). The opponent AI likes spamming special moves anyways, which results in some of the most annoying matchups I've ever have to deal with. It's admittedly a problem with Arantadoh's World Fighting Generation, where much of neutral (or just gameplay in general) mostly revolves around using super long range attacks (like far-reaching kicks or projectiles), making approaching the opponent the old fashioned way borderline useless.
Playing as Han Sujeong in turn made me remember about how unbalanced World Fighting Generation could be, which is (personally) a major issue with the game and is only made worse due to the wide prevalence of neutral skips and the game's overall jank working against your favor half the time, especially with (competitively) weaker characters like Sujeong. Sujeong has no invincible reversal, no means to attack others from afar safely, and his only remotely useful moves, the aforementioned Yop Tchagui and Yeol Pung Gag, could only carry you so far in battle, as the former is a contact move that could trade with other special attacks (which isn't useful if the opponent uses special attacks all the time), while the latter cannot be used in close range as it will miss the opponent. You'd be better suited to use his Baeg Yeol Gag (214HP+HK, uses one bar of meter) super in these scenarios instead.
Not helping things are how the game's mechanics feel limited - you can only tech/recover in the air upwards instead of going left or right, which makes invalid combos and tech traps viable against Sujeong. Against some characters such as Neville and Astro Saver, this spells trouble as both have quickly advancing multi-hit attacks that could easily catch you in the air, especially considering the latter's Metheo Crush is unblockable. Sujeong, after all, desires to get stronger due to a love of fighting, and in a sense you could argue that part of that means picking up an inherently weaker character and beating everyone else with it, but with all the crazy neutral skips present in this game, I think it's not worth the mental pain. If you're going to play this game, please pick up a better character, like Schmitt BF-400.
Speaking of Sujeong desiring to become stronger due to his love of fighting, that's... what his bio tells us. This taekwondo master joins Astro Saver's "World Fighting Generation" martial arts tournament to test his opponent's strength, which he does for like eleven consecutive times before facing off and defeating Astro Saver. After rejecting the prize money and challenging Astro Saver for a second time (presumably winning said fight), Sujeong sets off to find more fighters to fight against, as his martial arts journey has not yet ended...
