Dominate your foes as a Demon Hunter, an elven outcast shunned for daring to wield the terrible powers of the Legion. Exhibiting superior mobility and a preternatural sense of awareness, Demon Hunters can tap into forbidden powers at times of dire need, metamorphosing into terrifying fel forms. Focus on Havoc to demolish any who stand in your way with fiery demonic attacks, or specialize in Vengeance and go toe to toe with even the most powerful demons, withstanding massive punishment as their attacks fuel your hatred.
Demon Hunters start off at level 98; unlocking the option to create one requires an existing level 70 character on that server.
Demon Hunters primarily use Warglaives, but can also equip daggers, fist weapons, 1H Swords, and 1H Axes. Glaives, 1H axes, and 1H swords can be transmogged onto each other.
Demon Hunters aim for leather agility armor and we've made a guide to easy level 100 items to equip. Don't forget gear from Mark of Honor and heirloom trinkets like Infallible Tracking Charm.
Demon Hunters can only be Night Elves or Blood Elves. They have additional customization options: horns, blindfolds, tattoos, new skin tones, new hair colors.
Demon Hunters have a unique starting zone. In questing through the starting experience, you will acquire the Felsaber mount, the Illidari %s title, two unique transmog appearances per faction (Illidari Alliance, Torment Alliance, Illidari Horde, Torment Horde), choose a specialization, and unlock two talents. Learn about each quest, the rewards, and rares/treasures that reward useful items like Inquisitor's Menacing Eye in the Demon Hunter Starting Zone Guide.
Several signature abilities include Double Jump which paired with Glide allow you to reach hidden areas. You even sprout wings when you Glide. Another fun flavor ability is Spectral Sight which allows you to see all enemies and treasures through barriers.
