Today, I will be bringing you part 4 of my Protection Warrior guide series for World of Warcraft. Today, we will be discussing UI Layouts, Macros, Addons, and other helpful guides that can help teach you how to play a Protection Warrior.

Part of playing a Protection Warrior involves messing around with your UI and seeing what works. Trial and Error. That applies to everything I've discussed in my guides as well. While my methods and setups might work for me, they might not work for you. And that's okay, as long as you're curious and you mess around with things until you DO find what works best for you.

Also, I tried to think of as many macros as I could for this guide but when I started thinking about it I realized I don't use that many macros. And that's okay, because I don't really need that many macros to be good at what I do. The few that I did include, though, are valuable to me and I use them all the time.

Lastly, I want to say this: Don't force yourself to play a specialization or class that you really can't play. I used to be able to play an Arms Warrior, and I was very good with it. But since Warlords of Draenor, that has changed (mainly because Arms has changed) and now I can't DPS anymore no matter how much I try. I still sometimes try and learn how to play the new system that Arms revolves around, but It typically ends in me getting frustrated when I look at Recount because my DPS is never where I want it to be. But I've accepted that I'm not good as a DPS when I play Arms anymore. What I am good at is tanking. Protection is something I KNOW and it's what I'm great at. Whatever you're great at, stick with it. Always try to sharpen your skills and evaluate and/or change your methods to be the best Tank, DPS, or Healer you can be.
