World of Warships - Battle Report: HMS Leander - "Stiff Upper Lip"
34The British cruiser line went through a lot of test iterations in World of Warships, and there was a lot of speculation that the line would be DOA with its AP-only playstyle for light cruisers. Nothing could be further from the truth. These ships are some of the most fun you can have playing a cruiser in this game, and that all begins here with Tier VI's HMS Leander. She feels a little under-gunned bringing only eight barrels of 6" AP into a tier where ships like Nurnberg and Dallas sling more barrels of HE at a faster rate. Leander makes up for hit with her smoke, heal, and hydro, which combine to give her the longevity in a match that a ship like Dallas could only dream of. Here on Trident in an Epicenter game, I have to con my Leander as several hundred thousand tons of enemy ship push into my face while my battleships - surprise, surprise! - lurk in the back of the map ensuring their uselessness.
