That was an AMAZING time! Super lucky run, and the new route improvements also paid off. I had gotten a 3m40 before and I was not sure that I could beat it, so I was aiming at beating that time by just 1 second... and I ended up beating it by 6! Also got my highest recorded heart-rate so far: 156!

A very fun and interesting map to run; very well designed. Lots of weapon variety, and there are multiple ways of killing enemies all around. You even have to use crushers and barrels wisely if you want to save some seconds and get a good time. And in this run I was lucky with the crushers, with the barrels, and even with enemy movement opening doors for me in advance.

Route improvements over tatsurd's old record were: switching to the fists earlier to be ready to punch as soon as you get the berserk; using the damage of all 3 barrels in the room to the right side of the starting area; exploding both barrels in the outside crusher area; in the rectangular room just after that, going to the right side only to grab cells and punch things on the way there; using punches differently in the BFG area, and not using the chaingun at all; using rockets at the lone cacodemon on the other side of the green armor, to get out before the door closes; using the chaingun at the red key to save rockets for later; and finally, using rockets danger-close against the pinkies at the end.

When I started attempting to max this map, my first exits were 4m+, and I assumed that beating Tatsurd's time would be really difficult. However, after a few route adjustments and some more practice, I got a 3m54 run with a ton of mistakes in it. So I thought: maybe a 3m49 run's possible after all? I studied and practice the map a bit more, and then got a super lucky run with a time of 3m41. So maybe a 3m39 was possible after all?! It took me a lot of attempts to bring the time down to 3m40s06. I was 3 TICS AWAY from a 39! I felt it was going to be really difficult to get it, because most of my attempts were in the 3m40's and 3m50's. I used save games to practice segments and improved my route a bit more. Then suddenly, luck decided to strike again and instead of a 39 I got a 33, and decided to stop. What a fun adventure! :)

There are a few mistakes and moments of bad lucky in this run, which means that this time could be brought even lower. I predict that an even-more-insanely-lucky run with this route could yield a time of 3m29. But I think it will not be easy.

By the way, this was a 3m33 run, and the video capture of the run was exactly 666MB. What a coincidence? I hope I didn't accidentally perform a satanic summoning ritual.
