World's Biggest Airshow on Gold Coast in August 2023
The Pacific Airshow will touch down on the Gold Coast in August 2023, marking the beginning of a new annual aerial display event at the iconic Queensland holiday destination.
The newest Australian airshow will take place at Surfers Paradise over three days and has been supported by the federal, state and local governments, along with the Australian Defence Force.
The three-day affair will involve numerous aerial displays, along with food and market stalls, entertainment and hospitality programs, with VIP parties and meet-and-greets, according to its organisers.
Pacific Airshow Gold Coast will be run by Code Four, the Los Angeles-based company that launched the original Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach, California in 2016.
By 2021, three million visitors attended the California show, which has included aerial displays by the US Navy Blue Angels, US Air Force Thunderbirds, Royal Air Force Red Arrows and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
