The latest build of the Cataclysm beta brought in a new launcher which we are currently testing. It contains a content streaming system, which means you can play the game without downloading all of it. Guild Wars has something similar so look at that for reference. In this video I explain how streaming works and show it's effect when loading into a city. Please listen to the entire explanation, streaming is an optional part of the game and you are not forced to use it, we're just having to use it in the beta for testing purposes.
