WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE WOW REMIX: MISTS OF PANDARIA EVENT?
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will start on May 16th, 2024, at 10 am Pacific Time. This event is being globally launched, which means it will start at the same time (adapted to your timezone) no matter which region you play on.
We currently don't know when WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will end, but the calendar on The War Within Alpha (which had the correct start date) mentions the event will end on August 19th, 2024, at 4 pm Pacific Time.
TIMERUNNING BASICS
In WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, you will create an entirely new character, and relive the Mists of Pandaria experience by leveling and completing tasks and expansion content within the continent. Timerunners start at level 10 at the Timeless Isle, and after going through a short introduction, you will receive the main feature of the event, the Cloak of Infinite Potential Cloak of Infinite Potential. Then you will be sent to Pandaria to follow your own path.
Timerunning characters do follow standard Retail WoW talents and spells, and can level in Timerunning all the way to level 70. You can explore Pandaria's zones, dungeons, scenarios, and raids!
HOW TO START A TIMERUNNING CHARACTER IN WOW REMIX: MISTS OF PANDARIA
To create a Timerunner, go to your character selection screen and select the Mists of Pandaria: Remix button next to the expansion logo in the top left corner of the screen. A dialogue window will open, then just select the Create Timerunning character option, and you will be sent to the character creation menu.
There are no separate realms for Timerunning. Characters will be created in the main World of Warcraft realms.
Timerunning characters start at level 10 in the Timeless Isle, inside a special time bubble created by the Infinite Dragonflight. In that bubble, you will go through an introduction questline to earn your Cloak of Infinite Potential Cloak of Infinite Potential and prepare you to go into the world. Once you earn the cloak on one character, subsequent characters will have the option to skip this introduction questline, automatically earning their cloak and access to the rest of Pandaria.
Timerunning characters are locked to a special version of the Pandaria continent, and cannot leave - No teleportation items outside of the continent work, portals to Stormwind/Orgrimmar in the original locations are disabled. Timerunning characters are identified in both the character selection screen and chat channels by a hourglass icon next to their names.
CAN I FLY IN WOW REMIX: MISTS OF PANDARIA?
Both flying and dragonriding are enabled in Pandaria during Timerunning and can be accessed immediately after creating your character.
You can fly in every zone in which you can fly in the Retail version of Pandaria, which means you cannot fly on Isle of Thunder, Isle of Giants, or Timeless Isle.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY TIMERUNNING CHARACTER ONCE THE EVENT IS OVER?
Once WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria ends, any characters created during the event will transform into regular Retail WoW characters, which makes WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria a different way to level characters in preparation for The War Within. It is important to remember that Timerunning characters are restricted to the event until its end, as of the time of writing this guide.
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria characters are granted iLevel 415 if they're 70 by the end of the event. That said, Timerunners will not be disqualified from being able to complete Heritage questlines and receiving those rewards.
BRONZE AND REWARDS
The entirety of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will revolve around Bronze Bronze, a special currency added for this event. Bronze can be obtained from pretty much any and all activities in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, including (but not limited to):
Looting all mobs, from common mobs to raid bosses;
Opening Cache of Infinite Treasure Cache of Infinite Treasure earned from completing quests;
Opening treasure chests;
Flying through Bronze Orbs scattered across Pandaria;
Completing dungeons, scenarios and raids;
Opening Bronze Caches (Minor Bronze Cache Minor Bronze Cache/Lesser Bronze Cache Lesser Bronze Cache/Bronze Cache Bronze Cache/Greater Bronze Cache Greater Bronze Cache) from completing daily quests and Remix achievements.
Bronze is used to purchase rewards from Timerunning NPCs. These include mounts, toys, and transmog appearances. It is also used to purchase Remix-exclusive consumables and to upgrade Remix gear. Bronze can be exchanged for any of those things in any Timerunning Bazaar. These are located in several zones across Pandaria!
