68The Toyota team for the 2024 WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo was solid. Sébastien Ogier, originally from Gap, France, 8-time world champion, and Elfyn Evans, British, who came second in the world rally championship in the 2023 season behind Rovanpera and the Japanese Takamoto Katsuta, spoke out. Sébastien Ogier finished second in the general classification with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally 1 Hybrid in this first world stage of the rally championship, +16.1 seconds behind Neuville, winner on the Hyundai i20 N Rally 1. Evans finished in third place in the general classification after a promising start to the competition, which saw him in the lead until Friday. On Saturday, things changed, and his gap from the winner, Neuville, in the end, was +45"2 on a race total of 3h09'30"9. Finally, Katsuta, the Japanese, was the third Toyota driver in the race and the last among the Rally 1 cars to cross the finish line, also due to an off-road accident. The final race result saw him with a gap of +8'28"5 on the winner, Neuville. La squadra Toyota per il WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo 2024 è stata molto forte. Ha schierato Sébastien Ogier, originario di Gap, Francia, 8 volte campione del mondo, Elfyn Evans, britannico, giunto secondo nel mondiale rally nella stagione 2023 alle spalle di Rovanpera ed il giapponese Takamoto Katsuta. Sébastien Ogier ha chiuso al secondo posto nella classifica generale con la Toyota GR Yaris Rally 1 Hybrid questa prima tappa mondiale del campionato rally distaccato di +16.1 secondi da Neuville, vincitore su Hyundai i20 N Rally 1. Evans ha chiuso al terzo posto nella classifica generale dopo un inizio promettente della competizione che l'ha visto al comando fino a Venerdì. Il Sabato le cose sono cambiate ed il suo distacco dal vincitore Neuville alla fine è stato di +45"2 su un totale di gara di 3h09'30”9. Infine Katsuta, giapponese, terzo pilota Toyota in gara ed ultimo tra le vetture Rally 1 a tagliare il traguardo, complice anche un'uscita di strada. Il risultato finale di gara l'ha visto con un un distacco di +8'28"5 sul vincitore Neuville.
