While Maribel was walking around the church's outskirts, Renko shows up. They explore the church together, and while exploring, they found themselves in what seemed to be the Aetherworld (Makai), after they fell through a stained glass window of what appeared to be Sariel, an angel who was defeated by the Hakurei Clan when Gensokyo was in a period of civil war.
As they explore the area, they comment on how it's always nighttime with the moon and stars looking surprisingly similar to the other locations they have seen. They hear a voice out of nowhere. It appears to be the spirit of Sairel, who tells them about the holy grail. She guides the two out to the exit of the Aetherworld, but not before giving them a treasure. The treasure is a golden cross with two snakes wrapped around it. She explains that there is a notebook full of evidence, written in the form of a term paper.
"Is this a dream or not?", Maribel commented.
Renko is excited that the term paper wrote itself, making them happy about the adventure they had.
Steering away from the Hifuu-related stuff above. Anyway, this is an EoSD-style arrangement of the stage 2 theme from the second Chuhou Joutai game.
