WWE '13 is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. It was released on October 30, 2012, in North America and November 2, 2012, in United Kingdom.[1] It is the fourteenth overall installment in the WWE series, the sequel to WWE '12, and the last installment to be released on a Nintendo console until WWE 2K18 in 2017. It was also the last WWE-licensed game to be published by THQ before the company's demise in January 2013, ending their relationship with WWE after 14 years. Following THQ's liquidation, Take-Two Interactive would acquire the publishing rights to future games.

John Cena and Randy Orton had one of the best rivalries in WWE history. Which of their matches did Dave Meltzer rate as their best?

There have been several all-time great rivalries throughout WWE history, and the company would like to paint Randy Orton vs John Cena as one of those classic feuds, but unfortunately it was seen more as an over-booked and over-done rivalry which felt like it was never-ending.

They battled several times in high-profile matches over the years, some of those being in multi-man contests too. Some bouts were better than others, and Dave Meltzer’s star ratings are a good way to see which of those were the best of their encounters, even if there weren’t any match of the year candidates.

10/10Randy Orton Vs John Cena Vs Triple H, WrestleMania 24 (3.5 Stars)

Whilst those involved could’ve easily argued for a spot in the main event of the night, this match fit in comfortably as a decent match which helped to fill up the card. It wasn’t overly long, at just 14 minutes, but it was good for what it was.

Given who was involved, with Randy Orton defending his WWE Championship against two of the all-time great champions in John Cena and Triple H, it should have arguably been a little better and more intense than it was.

9/10Randy Orton Vs John Cena, Bragging Rights 2009 (3.5 Stars)

There weren’t many people who wanted to see Randy Orton and John Cena fight for an entire 60 minutes, but at the 2009 Bragging Rights PPV, they managed to surprisingly pull off a decent match. The Falls Count Anywhere aspect certainly helped, as did some interference from The Legacy and Kofi Kingston.

Every fall of the eleven falls in the match felt unique and creative, which is hard to do when it comes to an Iron Man Match. The 3.5-star rating arguably feels a little low for the strong match that these two managed to produce, even after incessant rematches throughout the year.

8/10Randy Orton Vs John Cena Vs JBL Vs Triple H, Backlash 2008 (3.5 Stars)

The first 10 minutes when all men were involved were enjoyable, but once John Cena and JBL were eliminated, this became a long and drawn-out singles match between Triple H and Randy Orton.

Some moments were good but spending 18 minutes of a fatal-four-way elimination match with just two competitors felt a little cheap. The crowd was still into it and enjoyed seeing Triple H pick up the WWE Championship.

7/10WWE Championship Elimination Chamber, Elimination Chamber 2014 (3.75 Stars)

Randy Orton walked into this match as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion following his feud with John Cena, but their differences weren’t the focal point of this one, as the likes of Daniel Bryan and Cesaro emerged as the MVPs of the contest.

It was a very strong match which also included Christian and Sheamus, with several brutal spots and intense moments, particularly in the final stretch between Orton and Bryan. Cena would be eliminated following interference from the Wyatt Family.

6/10John Cena Vs Randy Orton, Hell In A Cell 2014 (3.75 Stars)

After quite a disappointing Hell in a Cell match a few years prior, this was a huge step up and turned an overdone match into a very enjoyable contest. Fans had just about seen enough of these men facing off by the time this match rolled around, but they managed to win the crowd over.

It wasn’t up there with the best Cell matches of all time by any means, and due to the Cell PPV, it still felt shoehorned into the card, but Orton and Cena made the most of their situation.
