Basé sur la fédération de catch World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), il s'agit de la suite de WWE WrestleMania X8. Le roster comprend une quarantaine de catcheurs de la WWE.
Contrairement au jeu précédent et à d'autres jeux WWE contemporains, WrestleMania XIX ne propose pas de mode histoire/carrière conventionnel où les joueurs contrôlent un catcheur en particulier lors d'une série de matchs. À la place, le jeu propose un « Mode Vengeance », un mode basé sur des missions dans lequel les joueurs tentent d'atteindre certains objectifs dans divers lieux hors du ring.

RétroGaming 2.0 ;0) Presents you "WWE WrestleMania XIX"is a professional wrestling video game released exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube by THQ in 2003. Based on the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), it is the sequel to WWE WrestleMania X8. The roster consists of around forty WWE wrestlers.
Unlike the previous game and other contemporary WWE games, WrestleMania XIX does not feature a conventional story/career mode in which players control a particular wrestler in a series of matches. Instead, the game features "Revenge Mode" a mission-based mode in which players try to achieve certain goals in various locations outside of the ring.
