WWZ - A Pro Player's General Guide to Multiplayer
Entering the Game: Day 1
- The Game feels like a mix of Resident Evil Raccoon City & The Division
- You shouldn't play this as a "Serious Third Person Shooter" more so than a "Competitive Arcade Shooter"
- There is no rolling mechanic so your only mobility options are strafe/run
- When it comes to your equipment along with heavy ammo, they both have cooldowns similar to destiny
- You can not create your own class rather than selecting a class and then modifying said class with what ever perks you have available / to choose from
- Character does not effect class
General Knowledge: After Playing a couple games
- Hip firing is very good. Of course you will have your moments of having to ADS, but typically you'll want to hip fire
- Crouching takes you off the radar
+ Say you are running away and you have some good distance, cut some corners and crouch. This will hide your whereabouts along with giving you a potential chance to counter attack
+ You could even use it to camp or sneak up on people
- Running down any type of decline will sometimes result in you hopping into the air.
+This may cause you to lose some fights when you are trying to strafe and stumble over yourself leveing you wide open
- There is no FALL DAMAGE
+ So leap off of ledges to your hearts content
- If you are spraying someone down and you are noticing that their life isn't going down, typically it is due to them having over-shield (2 classes can do this: Striker & Shadow)
+ their hasn't been any reports of pvp hackers as I know of so, yeah
Advanced Knowledge: After Playing WWZ for a good bit
- Explosive & Melee damage go through over-shield
+ Over-shield only applies when someone is using either SHADOW or STRIKER
+ You can open up your scoreboard to see what class the enemy team is rolling with. If you see a PISTOL ICON or a SMOKE BOMB, then you know you're going to be
dealing with people having over-shield from time to time
- If you're playing with friends, it would be smart to have at least 1 support class at all times.
+ That's if you are going for wins all the time
- Dealing with people whom have shotguns
+ Play the game at a slower pace and force them to play the field. Don't rush around corners and if you're fighting someone, make sure to control the mid to long distance
bc if they try to rush you, then those are free shots
[Additional Advance Notes]
- When running around with a Heavy, you can switch weapons to drop it early
- Fire does fall off of walls along with ledges, this causes for a larger fire spread
- Depending on how a Claymore is placed, you are able to run diagonally past it to trigger it without taking damage
- Lunge Stepping: Typically when you're within Mid to Close Range & you attempt to attack, your character will lunge at them with a melee attack. If your opponent is low & within
close range, go for the Lunge Step instead of potentially missing shots and dying
- C4 DOES stick to surfaces
- When Tazed, you can still Lunge Step at your opponent if they are close enough
- Characters have specific battle cries that they will yell out upon pulling out their heavy weapon. This allows you to listen out for Audio Ques to avoid heavy weapon users
