X-Com Foolishness: Part 1
0Just the normal start, sell the Skyranger, sack all the soldiers, sell all my weapons... wait, what? What the heck am I doing, anyway? And what's with all those UFOs I let go on purpose?
I'll tell you. I'm attempting a two ground mission only game of X-Com. That includes Cydonia as a mission. I want to play by Ironman rules as well (no reloading if things don't go my way), but if I totally fail I will probably break that so that I have something to show.
No reason to incur the monthly fee on the soldiers or Skyranger until I have a chance of catching a battleship on the ground, and I especially don't want to shoot down UFOs too close to my main base, as I don't want alien retaliation sweeps going over it. Other than that, I proceed how you might expect; researching motion scanners for manufacture until I can do laser cannons, and building up my main base.
