Two Tasoth underwater missions with big bombs. One at night, which devastated my team. But I beat them, collected what little resources I could, made X-Com happy.

The main thing, however, is that I have a save. I have a save that takes place before the next terror-style mission is chosen. Sadly, I have to set up my MC lab at base one every time I reload the save, but it means I can now farm until I get a mission with deep ones.
