And I've save scummed my way through another mission. This is how it's going to be. I'm getting missions that assume I have end game gear. But I don't. Because it's locked behind progression that's locked behind capturing a rare alien alive. A rare alien that I haven't seen in ages. If I can't capture one alive, there's nothing I can do. Since I don't want to resort to editing my save to add one to my base inventory if I don't have to, I will continue to play the game "as intended", but while being cheap about it.
