The X—Men are a team of mutant superheroes from Marvel Comics, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The X-Men first appeared in the 1st issue of the comic book "The X-Men", published in September 1963. Some members of the team have debuted before in other comics. The X-Men are the main characters of a commercially successful series of films, several animated series and a number of computer games.
