[X68K] FZ Senki Axis OST Remastered / FZ戦記アクシス BGM マスタリング用プラグインでのリマスター版 Wolfteam (Final Zone)
Also released on Mega Drive and Genesis as "Final Zone", and the intro from Sega Retro can explain this better than I can: "Final Zone, known as FZ Senki Axis (FZ戦記AXIS) in Japan, is a 1990 game by Wolf Team for the Sega Mega Drive and X68000. Awkwardly it is a sequel to Final Zone II (itself a sequel to a 1986 Japanese-only game called Final Zone), meaning it is the third in the Final Zone series, but only the second Final Zone game to be released in North America."
I love isometric games and both this game and Arcus Odyssey feature a very strong 3/4 perspective with great graphics and a host of legendary composers. The X68K version is featured here because in this particular example it is considered clearly superior to the Mega Drive version (probably due to sound driver issues, not the effort of the composers).
Audio Source: VGM by Gnome: "It took 3 years, but here it is. Thanks to Valley Bell and GTheGuardian for extensive research on the Wolf Team
sound driver. This pack was logged from a patched .DIM which enables the
missing channel you normally can't hear due to a bug."
Composers: "Sargent Wolf Band"
Motoi Sakuraba (桜庭統) - Valkyrie Profile, Xenoblade, Star Ocean, etc
Masaaki Uno (宇野正明) - Mid Gartz, Granada, Yaksa, Zan, etc
