Part 1 of our first battle engagement played with AI Bots on normal difficulty. I was aware this mode requires one to pick up icons from defeated enemies to score points.
It's playing out much like the Kill Confirmed mode from the Call of Duty games.
More heavily armed foes and players drop 5 pts icons, while everybody else, 2 pts. First to reach 100 pts secures victory and fights can last a while.
I describe the AI Bot behavior as 'middle ground' between bots that meet the full definition of what bots are and those who play defensively/stay in place. Call of Duty bots behave more as human players do, while at the other hand, the bots from Titanfall and Halo 5: Guardians remain in a pre-determinated location. In Battlefront 3, bots fall in the middle, treating one as if their squad leader, remaining in a radious around you at all times. One can sometimes see them taking defensive positions around one's location. Stranded bots can become vulnerable or try to reunite, but they spawn around one's area.
This formula apparently helps keep the action going, since I originally thought there where more people in the fight: turned out one has only 3 bots around at any given time. More heavily armed bots appear later in the fight when one eliminates a certain number prior.
