The Xbox One could have been a contender and continued the excellent work of the 360 but sadly Microsoft's decision to go with DDR3 and the Kinect as a bundled device mean they are under-powered and over-priced.
We already know the resolution on most cross platform games is lower on the Xbox One but now we are hearing the next set of games hitting both consoles will see 30fps on Xbox One but 60fps on PS4, just a few months after launch.
To say this is a disaster for Microsoft Xbox One's long term plans is an understatement. Come 2016 with the launch of the Nintendo Fusion, Microsoft may find itself half way through the cycle with the least powerful console. ****
