Xbox Series X GPU Equivalent to High-End PC Graphics Card - Crazy Performance!
The Xbox Series X has a very powerful graphics processor. On paper, the GPU in the Xbox Series X is even faster than a GeForce RTX 2080 Super. That's why it can support Raytracing, 4K at 60fps and we've seen some games that utilize these features.
That being said, I've read many comments of people being disappointed with the graphics in some games, suggesting that games should look way better running on such a powerful machine that is capable of 12 TFLOPs of performance. Just for comparison, the original PS4 boasts a 1.84 teraflop GPU, PS4 Pro has a GPU with increased 4.2 teraflops, Xbox One has 1.31 teraflops, and Xbox One S 1.4 teraflops and the Xbox One X whopping 6.0 teraflops.
At 12 TFLOPs, the GPU of the Xbox Series X is slightly faster than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super, and a little bit behind the Nvidia GeForce 2080 Ti.
Just for comparison:
Xbox Series X—12 TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2080 Super—11.15 TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2080—10.07 TFLOPs
Radeon RX 5700 XT—9.754 TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2070—7.465 TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2060 Super—7.181 TFLOPs
GeForce GTX 1660 Ti—5.4 TFLOPs
12 TFLOPs, this is equivalent to a very powerful graphics card and we can expect some games to take advantage of this graphics performance to deliver next-gen looking games with beautiful realistic graphics.
