Update : sadly, it turns out it's not 15s but either 8s or 13s depending on your team composition, and also it could be somewhat inconsistent depending on physical VS digital or different consoles or something else. Sorry. :/

Hi. Late happy new decade for anyone not on the Xenoblade Discord or the Astral Chain one I guess!

Here's a (bad) demonstration of a consistent method to get Zombie Hover from Malos 2, and save around 15-16s (timing to be refined).
What I do is : fadeout, wait 3s, begin to hold combo right after 3, skip the cutscene asap (tricky because you need to keep the combo held down lol)
If you can't do it try to time with when I press the combo, you can hear this moment in the video.

Some things to note :
1) you need to have equipped the blades required for the next skill check (earth 2, leaping 3) otherwise your efforts were in vain.
2) holding the combo too early = crash, so it's better to do it late and carry on as normal if you don't get it.
