I continue trying to shed my burden of shame as a classic UFO/XCOM fan who has only completed the new XCOM on normal, by playing it through on Classic Ironman.

After the disastrous loss of an entire squad of rookies in Moscow, XCOM tries a new Mentoring/Buddy system that pairs up inexperienced rookies with hardened vets. Will it cut the rookie fatality rate or is it merely a futile attempt to stave of the inevitable? Meanwhile Thin Men continue to be horrible bastards and Floaters make poor tactical decisions.
