While things weren't exactly 'quiet', it seems that fate did hear my plea, and we were allowed a few days of relative peace while our engineers and scientists continued to puzzle over the various secrets of the alien's technology, and how we could put it to use in the war against them.

However, while XCOM HQ enjoyed some peace, the rest of the world continued to stew in its own panic. Something that hasn't been helped by a recent attack by EXALT. Leilith has been deployed in order to disrupt EXALT's activities, and is due to be in contact soon regarding her extraction.

However, the aliens were not entirely idle, and while Leilith is busy infiltrating EXALT, operation Bloody Druid was launched against a landed 'abductor' craft, detected in the United States. With its crew unharmed, I chose to send the best troops we had available, and so far it has paid off.

With a cyberdisk and its drone guard already neutralised, and our troops entering the ship itself, I can only hope that this momentum holds...
