XDEFIANT is SHUTTING DOWN, Why Did it Fail?
36Wow it just dropped that XDefiant is Shutting Down in June 2025, after starting on May 21st, 2024. What is with all these games shutting down and pulling the plug lately? That is what. is what I'll be breaking down in this video because a lot of games are failing lately. This game could have leaned into the brands that were represented into it a lot stronger, like being able to play as Vaas or Aiden Pierce, or even Ezio would have been cool.
In my experience with this game, you would get obliterated by one or two really good players making it really easy to bounce. Did this prove the Skill base match-making is a good thing? potentially.
This was a new game trying to be Nostalgic but didn't utilize the other Ubisoft games as much as it should have. Games like Fortnite dive into different collaborations much more intensely making this less enjoyable to have this half baked version of it. I did enjoy some elements to this game but it is in a weird spot
