You also get the repeating shot, which allows you to attack up to three times using action or a bonus action. You also get the great spell selection that comes with the artificer, Having some fan favorites like cone of cold as well as dependable spells like shield and magic missile. This can be both defensive and offensive depending on what you use your infusement and arcane jolts on.
