Welcome to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, for the Nintendo Switch! A very long RPG. I plan on showing as much as I can of the game to consider this walkthrough a "100% completion" of it. Stuff like every affinity chart, every quest, every city maxed, every merc mission, etc. We'll be playing in "Bringer of Chaos" mode, which is the hard mode of the game, only available to those who have the Expansion Pass. Since you need it to play in this mode and the expansion story, I'll cover all the DLC in this walkthrough, as well.
In this part, we begin the first Chapter: Encounters. We meet Rex, our protagonist. A young boy that makes a living by salvaging items from below the cloud sea and selling them at the Argentum Trade Guild. He also constantly sends money to his home village, all the way in Leftheria. But today, he receives a salvaging mission from a peculiar group of Drivers that may just change his life forever.
We also do the first batch of side-quests. It's important to do them as you progress through the game, for the extra experience they give you.
