Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Part 84: Theory Gets "Rescued"
2After accomplishing all of the tasks of the lance notes, Praxis and the rest of the group made their way back to Mor Ardain at its Nharil Cental Plaza.
Praxis called out to the one that kept toss lances her way, and soon enough, that person made herself known to her face-to-face.
It was Theory. Everyone else knew who she was, but Praxis had forgotten her time from Theory after their previous incident as Core Crystal Hunters eventually led Praxis to lose her Driver, and as such her memories.
However, what Theory has been trying to do all this time was trying to bring back Praxis' memories, and her last note towards this was for Praxis to go to Lost Capital Judicium in Temperantia.
You can choose whether or not the group tells her why Theory's been like this, and expose to Praxis how she used to be a criminal with Theory.
Either way, you now have to go to Temperantia at the spot Theory's last note talked about.

Along the way to the spot, I stop by a Titan Weapon Dig Site to start a Heart-to-Heart called "Reconciliation". In it, Mòrag and Tora have a surprisingly-deep discussion about the Titan weaponry around them, and also how Jin's interference changed the nature of the millitary here.
You get to choose what Tora says to Mòrag about Mor Ardain's treaty with Uraya.

Back on the Blade Quest, Praxis and the others eventually reach Lost Capital Judicium. Theory, was waiting for her.
All of those tasks Theory had Praxis take on were attempts to jog her memory of all of the places they've been to together, but alas, Praxis remembered none of them. Theory was so upset that nothing worked...
So through the help of her Driver, Waldemar, her final attempt to get Praxis's back was to fight her back by killing her new Driver. However, this felt less like it was her own words and more of the words of Waldemar manipulating her, as Rex and the others saw of him.

Waldemar has two crony Drivers, Grep and Spoot. Sweep them away, first, then go after Waldemar and Theory.
If you really want to make this meaningful, try finishing them with the your Driver that has Praxis on them.

The fight waged on, but Theory was noticeably becoming more reluctant to fight, much to Waldemar's chargin.
Praxis, despite having no recallings of her past, felt to her core that she and Theory were special to each other before. She did not want to keep fighting her like this...
Theory couldn't raise her weapon against Praxis anymore, but Waldemar continued to scold at her to do so and kill the whole group that stood before them. When his paitence ran out, he picked up one of his fallen henchmen's Blade weapons and prepared to attack the group, himself.
But then... Theory dashed at him and struck him down with one blow...
Waldemar fell to the ground, as he was just killed by his own Blade. Sadly, because of this, Theory saw herself to the ground, as well, because she was now slowly returning to her Core Crystal, and lose her memories in the process...
But as the Theory the group knew now died, Praxis understood that she will always cherish her no matter what...

I think this was one of my favorite Blade Quests just for its story. Praxis and Theory clearly loved each other like they were twin sisters.
Like Praxis before here, you'll have to wait for a while before you can awaken Theory's Core Crystal.
Am I also STILL checking up on Ursula, at this point.
